Being a big recognisable name in the 70s-80s probably means that you're now in your 50s-60s, and when you consider the lifestyles of a lot of famous people, is it REALLY that shocking that a few of them have died recently?

What an unbelievably shit year. Not just celebs either we have had quite a few well known local people pass on this year, more than the norm,. It's the age as well with many. Can understand the Jimmy Young's, Gene Wilders and Robert Vaughn's in their 80's or 90's but far too many went far too young. I'm beginning to wonder if it's worth planning anything!!!

Well that adds up to at least 35 (with a few additions), approx 3 a month, or one every 10 days!

If the Queen lives as long as her mother, I wouldn't be surprised if she outlives her eldest son, and we then move directly on to William's coronation.

Lets also not forget please that kevin the gerbil - simpleton wingman and wacky foil to Roland Rat - also passed this year, knocked in front of a ride on lawnmower and whisked to pulpy ribbons while being cruelly chased by the parsons cat in the village of Orsdervs Cum - Latchley, his Suffolk estate.
His midland gerbil lilt and easy chirpy disposition put him at the very top of the puppet rodent game and his passing marks his elevation to the pantheon of the greats alongside Orville, Bagpuss, Schnorbitz.
